This is a painting of my recollection of discovering various insects in my yard for the first time. I can recall the different colors, legs and body shapes, eyes, the stings, all an experiment to educate myself on the world around me. Here, I have exaggerated this quite a bit, to try to articulate the first time we all saw the various sheens and colors of the insects in our lives, as we have grown so accustomed, we no longer find a fascination with them
